MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Warhawks women's soccer team presented the Spring Hill College Badgers a tough 1-0 conference road loss at the AUM Soccer Complex on Wednesday afternoon.

The Warhawks (8-5, 4-2 SSAC) and the Badgers battled to a scoreless tie at halftime with AUM out shooting SHC 6-2 in the period.

After 39 more scoreless minutes of play, AUM broke onto the scoreboard with just 6:09 remaining on the clock as Alexandra Sveinsdottir found the back of the net from 20 yards out into the top left corner off an assist by Dagmar Gunnarsdottir.

SHC junior goalkeeper Abby Massengale faced 10 shots by the Warhawks and made three saves in the contest while Holly Clarke of AUM made two saves against eight total shots by the Badgers.

The Badgers (9-5, 4-3 SSAC) will return to Montgomery on Saturday for an SSAC match with the Faulkner University Lady Eagles (5-7, 2-3 SSAC) at 4 p.m. on John Mark Stallings Field at the Dalraida Soccer Complex.
