TOUGALOO, Miss. – The Spring Hill College volleyball team defeated the Tougaloo College Lady Bulldogs 3-0 (25-4, 25-12, 25-9) in a non-conference road contest on Friday night.

Senior middle hitter Sha Sha Buchanan tallied 10 kills with two aces and a solo block while junior outside hitter Megan Haber of Lillian, Ala., recorded nine kills to pass the 1,000-kill mark (1,004) for her career.

Sophomore setter Mallory Raulerson handed out 18 assists and freshman defensive specialist Lindsey Pecoraro scooped in 10 digs.

As a team, SHC built a .477 (51-10-86) attack percentage to go along with 13 aces, 36 digs and 5.5 total blocks in the match.

With the victory over the Bulldogs (2-16), the Badgers extended their current winning streak to 19 matches.

Spring Hill (27-3, 11-0 SSAC) will return to the Tougaloo campus on Saturday morning to face Belhaven University (8-19, 2-11 SSAC) in a conference match at 10 a.m. With a win on Saturday, SHC will clinch at least a share of the SSAC regular season championship for the third consecutive season. The Badgers also currently own the 10th longest conference regular season winning streak in NAIA history at 45 matches and a win on Saturday would tie them with the 1987-92 University of St. Francis (Ill.) teams at 9th longest.
