The Spring Hill College women's cross country team ran its first 6k race of the season at the Watson Quality Ford Invitational in Clinton, Miss., and finished in fourth place out of six teams with an average time of 27:56.53.  Each of the Lady Badgers' previous three races this season had featured a 5k course, but the SHC team still preformed well despite the longer distance.

Sophomore Kayla Jo Fox of Dothan led the Lady Badgers with a time of 27:37.63 finishing as the top Lady Badger runner in 18th place.  For the first time this season, freshman Blakely Duhé of Mobile failed to lead the SHC squad and finished in 19th position with a time of 27:54.84.

Spring Hill will travel to Baton Rouge, La., on October 20 to compete in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Xavier University.
