GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Spring Hill College men's bowling team finished 5th of 7 teams at the Florida Gator Collegiate Shootout on Saturday and 4th of 8 teams at the Florida Gators Baker Shootout on Sunday at the AMF Alley Katz Lanes.
SHC finished Saturday in 5th place after rolling a combined score of 5,987 for a 600-pin improvement over their previous performance.
Individually, Brian Bodenheimer of Kenner, La., missed earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team by one pin following his 6th place finish out of 89 bowlers with a 194.29 average and a total pin count of 1,360.
Ryan Hauck of Pen Argyl, Pa., finished in 12th place with a total of 1,333 pins and an average of 190.43 while Charles R. Noble Jr of Metairie, La., was 18th in a total of 1,217 and an average of 173.86.
Kyle Broussard of New Iberia, La., rolled a score of 1164 for 27th position in an average of 166.29 while Kenny Nealon of Coral Springs, Fla., rolled four games and averaged 121.50 in a 486 total for 79th place. Chase Broussard of New Iberia came in 81st in three rounds of action with an average of 142.33 for 427 total pins.
In the second event on Sunday, Spring Hill totaled 6,417 pins in a 9-round Baker format for 4th place out of 8 teams.
SHC will next take to the lanes on Saturday, November 9, at the SWIBC II Tournament at Lafayette Lanes in Lafayette, La.
