TIFFIN, Ohio – For the third time in the 2013 season Megan Haber has been named the Independents Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) Volleyball Player of the Week for NCAA Division II.
Haber, a junior from Lillian, Ala., averaged 4.67 kills with nine blocks and hit .453 over nine sets in leading Spring Hill to a 3-0 record on the week. She had 16 kills and four blocks versus Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) and 16 kills against Brewton-Parker College. Haber recorded double-figure in kills in all three matches this week as the Badgers (31-3) now travel to the 2013 Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Championship Tournament in the Multiplex Building at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
Since 2004, the ICAA has given recognition to schools of independent status at the NCAA DII level. The membership in volleyball includes Bluefield State, Palm Beach Atlantic, Oakland City, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Spring Hill, Union University and Washington Adventist. The weekly awards are chosen by ICAA Director Mike Bond.
