MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The top-seeded Spring Hill College volleyball team took a 3-0 (25-17; 25-21; 25-18) victory over 6th seeded Bethel University in the second day of pool play at the 2013 Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Championship Tournament at the Multiplex Building at the Cramton Bowl on Thursday morning.
Spring Hill was led on offense by junior outside hitter Megan Haber with 12 kills and freshman outside hitter Madison Seuzeneau with 11 kills. Senior setter Taryn Nash had 31 assists while on defense senior libero Meredith Donald collected 14 digs with 14 receptions and Haber stopped five total shots at the net.
SHC hit for .333 (39-9-93) with five aces, five blocks and 41 total digs as the Wildcats (12-18) managed a .128 (41-27-109) attack percentage with one ace, five blocks and 43 digs.
Spring Hill (33-3) expanded its current winning streak to 25 matches with the decision and now moves on to the semifinal round on Saturday at 11 a.m. versus Southern Wesleyan University (26-11).
