TIFFIN, Ohio – In their first year of affiliation, Spring Hill College has won the 2013 regular championships of the Independents Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) of NCAA Division II in volleyball and women's soccer.

Spring Hill (10-7-1, 31 points) won the women's soccer title by just one point over Oakland City (10-5, 30 points). The season came down to the final match of the year when Oakland City lost to Lindenwood-Belleville 5-1 on Wednesday night.

The Badger volleyball team has wrapped up the ICAA championship with a 31-3 (.912) regular season mark, edging out Palm Beach Atlantic (26-3, .897) who cannot pass SHC with only one regular season match left on their schedule.

Since 2004, the ICAA has given recognition to schools of independent status at the NCAA DII level. The membership in volleyball and women's soccer includes Spring Hill, Oakland City, Lincoln, Palm Beach Atlantic, Union, Washington Adventist, Chowan, South Dakota Mines and Bluefield State. All awards are chosen by ICAA Director Mike Bond.
