SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The NAIA named three Spring Hill College volleyball players as honorable mention members of the 2013 Tachikara-NAIA All-America team with Taryn Nash, Sha Sha Buchanan and Megan Haber receiving the award.
Senior setter Taryn Nash of Independence, Mo., was earlier named the 2013 Player of the Year and Setter of the Year in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) in addition to her third consecutive membership on the 1st team of the All-Conference squad. Nash is now a three-time honorable mention member of the Tachikara-NAIA All-America Team and set an SHC single-single record with 1550 assists in 2013 to go along with 101 kills, 34 aces, 329 digs and 41 total blocks.
Senior middle hitter Sha Sha Buchanan out of McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile recorded 433 kills with 122 total blocks 25 aces and 86 digs. She is a four-time All-SSAC performer.
Junior middle hitter Megan Haber of Lillian, Ala., led the Badgers with 492 kills and 138 total blocks in 2013. She added 49 digs and 40 assists to her totals during a season in which she was named to the All-SSAC team and the 2013 SSAC Tournament's Player of the Year.
