MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team lost a 74-51 non-conference decision to the Tennessee Temple University Lady Crusaders on Thursday evening at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.

The Lady Crusaders (4-8) built a 37-15 cushion at halftime and maintained at least a 20-point lead throughout the 2nd half.

Senior forward Sha Sha Buchanan, junior guard Elissa VandeWaa and sophomore guard Natalie Harper each scored nine points with Buchanan pulling down a game-high 13 rebounds. SHC shot 22.5% (16-71) from the field and 20% (4-20) from 3-point range, but won the battle under the boards by a 50 to 43 margin. The Badgers turned the ball over 20 times under the pressure of 11 steals by the Lady Crusaders.

Tennessee Temple's Amanda Rector scored 25 points to lead all scorers as TaQuasha O'Neal added 20 points and Angel Foster poured in an additional 13 points. The Lady Crusaders knocked down 45.3% (29-64) of their shots and blistered the nest for a 53.8% (7-13) success rate in 3-point shooting. Temple lost 14 turnovers with five being forced by Badger steals.

The Badgers (3-8) will host the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders (11-1) from Columbia, Ky., in a non-conference contest at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
