The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics has named Keller Douglas and Sarah Bolotte as its USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week for their outstanding accomplishments on the diamond during the week of February 3-9, 2014.
Douglas, a junior right-hander from Covington, La., recorded his Spring Hill College career record eighth save in a 3-0 Badger win over Point University on Friday evening. In his three-year career, he has appeared in 67.2 innings over 30 games with five starts. Douglas holds a career ERA of 3.06 with 62 strikeouts, 41 walks and a 6-2 record.
Bolotte, a sophomore right-hander from Marrero, La., pitched a 4-0 no-hit shutout victory over Huntingdon College on Friday afternoon at Murray Field. She allowed just four base runners with two walks and two hit batters while striking out two Hawks and forcing 13 groundouts in 70 pitches.
In recognition of this honor, each week's winners of USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week award will receive a T-shirt, water bottle and handy gym bag compliments of the University of South Alabama ROTC.
