The Spring Hill College women's golf team finished in 14th place out of 15 teams at the 12th Annual University of South Alabama (USA) Invitational at the Azalea City Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.
As a team, SHC shot a +177 (332, 347, 362, 1041) to finish 136 shots behind the 1st place finishers University of Memphis Tigers (300, 304, 301, 905, +41).
Individually, sophomore Alexandria Ryals of Mobile finished in a tie for 41st place with a +22 score of 238 (76, 81, 81) and senior Avery Kyle of Plano, Texas, carded a total of 241 for a final tally of +25 (78, 84, 79) for a 49th place finish in a field of 83 total golfers across the par-72, 6071-yard course.
Senior Audrey Dombrowski from St. Louis, Mo., shot a +70 total of 286 (94, 94, 98) for 79th place while fellow senior Shelley Husband of Pass Christian, Miss., came in at 80th place (105, 112, 104, 321, +105) with senior Katie Callahan of Prairie Village, Kan., withdrawing in the third round (84, 88, WD).
Spring Hill will next take to the links at the Loyola University (La.) Wolf Pack Invitational on March 9-11 at Oak Harbour Golf Course in New Orleans, La.
