SLIDELL, La. – The Spring Hill College women's golf team finished in 3rd place out of 6 teams at the rain-shortened Loyola University (La.) Wolf Pack Invitational at Oak Harbor Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.
As a team, SHC shot a +97 score of 673 (337, 336) to finish 29 shots behind the 1st place finishers University of Houston-Victoria (324, 320, 644, +68).
Individually, senior Avery Kyle of Plano, Texas, carded a total of 160 for a final tally of +16 (77, 83) for a 5th place finish in a field of 32 total golfers across the par-72, 5863-yard course while senior Katie Callahan of Prairie Village, Kan., finished in 6th place with a +17 score of 161 (82, 79).
Sophomore Alexandria Ryals of Mobile wrote a score of 175 on her card with rounds of 87 and 88 (+31) for 17th place and senior Audrey Dombrowski from St. Louis, Mo., shot a +35 total of 179 (93, 86) for 20th position while junior Rachel Failla of New Orleans, La., came in at 22nd place (91, 89, 180, +36).
Spring Hill will next participate in the Lady Argonaut Invitational hosted by the University of West Florida on March 30-April 1 at Stonebrook Golf Course in Pace, Fla.
