The 2013-14 Spring Hill College men's basketball team collected six postseason awards from the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) as announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon.

Junior forward Frederick Gatson a junior forward from Riverdale, Ga., was named to the All-West Division Team after a season in which he led the Badgers with 333 total points (11.5 ppg) while also pulling down a team-high 205 rebounds (7.1 rpg). He also handed out 63 assists with 18 steals and blocked five shots on the year. Gatson shot 51.4% (133-259) from the floor including 33.3% (15-45) from 3-point distance in 29 games played with 20 starts.

Senior guard Robert Gipson out of Mobile's W.P. Davidson High School was named the team's representative on the 2014 Musco Lighting-SSAC Champions of Character team.

Sophomore point guard Jackson Fos of Abita Springs, La., sophomore guard Wesley Pietri out of St. Paul's Episcopal School in Mobile, red shirt freshman forward Sam Hutcheson of Hoover, Ala., and red shirt freshman center Dejan Stefanovic from Paraćin, Serbia, were all named to the 2014 SSAC All-Academic Team. In order to be recognized as an SSAC All-Academic recipient, the student-athlete must be on the varsity roster and currently in his third term of attendance or later and must have earned at least 24 hours. Each student must also have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.25 on the 4.00 scale.
