MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team lost a non-conference contest with the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers by a score of 8-7 at Patterson Field on Tuesday afternoon.

Tuskegee (12-17) jumped out to an early 8-2 lead before the Badgers could rally to cut the deficit to 8-7 late in the game.

SHC starter Hunter Nowak (5-3) took the loss while senior second baseman Brian Sims had three hits and senior outfielder Mykol Sostarich added two hits including a two-run homerun for the Badgers.

Spring Hill (25-18, 13-8 SSAC) will next travel to Bethel University (19-14, 10-11 SSAC) in McKenzie, Tenn., to face the Wildcats in a three-game conference series beginning with a doubleheader on Friday at 1 p.m. and followed by a 1 p.m. single game on Saturday.
