KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Spring Hill College softball team added 38 votes to its numbers of the previous week for a 459 total and moved up three spots to No. 7 in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday afternoon.

Four other Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) teams joined SHC in the Top 25 as Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) remained at No. 2, William Carey University fell five spots to No. 11, Belhaven University dropped two places to No. 15 and Brenau University remained at No. 22. The University at Mobile also received 33 votes.

The NAIA poll is voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independent and unaffiliated groupings.

Spring Hill (36-11, 21-7 SSAC) will next play at 8 p.m. on Thursday in the 2014 SSAC Championship Tournament at the SportsPlex in Gulf Shores, Ala.
