GREENWOOD, Ind. – Sophomore pitcher Caroline Sagrera of Spring Hill College was selected as a member of the Capital One Academic All-District® Team in Softball for District 1 (College Division) as announced by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) on Thursday afternoon.

A native of Baton Rouge, La., Sagrera (32-8) majors in Pre-Heath and was also a member of the 2014 Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) All-Academic Team. She was a NAIA All-America performer in 2013 and currently leads the NAIA in wins, innings pitched (276.0) and strikeouts (374).

The Badgers (36-11) are ranked No. 7 in the current NAIA Coaches Top 25 poll.

The Capital One Academic All-District Award® recognizes athletes holding a career GPA of 3.3 or higher while at the same time making significant on-field contributions to their team.

With selection to the All-District Team, Sagrera now automatically moves into nomination for the Capital One Academic All-America Award® as voted upon by the CoSIDA membership.
