SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Spring Hill men's golf is in 10th place after shooting 311 in the opening round of the Wilmington Island Club Invitational. Berry College leads the field with a 292 opening round.
Junior Patrick Jenkins leads the Badgers with a 74 stroke round. Jenkins is currently tied for 14th after day one. He is followed by freshman Will Loweth (78), junior David Lysaught (79), sophomore Dan Thouvenot (80) and freshman T. L. Butts (81).
Berry College leads the 12 team field after day one, shooting a combined 292. The University of Mobile follows three-strokes behind with a 295, followed by Johnson and Wales University (297). Shorter College and Cumberland University are tied for fourth place with 303.
Round two of the Wilmington Island Club Invitational continues Tuesday.
