Head Coach Adam Pearce and the Spring Hill College Athletics Department announced the signing of Chris Stephens of Davidson High School in Mobile to the Badgers men's soccer team on Wednesday.  A midfielder, Stephens also captained the Mobile Soccer Club that finished as a semifinalist in the Alabama State Cub in 2008.

Pearce commented, "There is tremendous soccer being played on the Gulf Coast and Chris is an example of the talent being developed.  He's a quality central mid-field player with a flair and energy about his game that allows him to be dangerous with his distribution or when attacking one-on-one.  Chris is a very hard worker and we will challenge him to elevate his game to an even higher level so he can be a real impact player for all four years of his career. Stephens received Davidson High's "110% Award" in both 2006 and 2007.  In his senior year, he won the DHS Boys' Soccer Coach's Award.

Away from soccer, Stephens is member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in Business.
