The Spring Hill College men's soccer team (4-4-1) lost at Thomas University (4-2-1) by the score of 6-0 on the final day of the Thomas University Invitational on Sunday. It was the Badgers first shutout loss of the season. The Thomas onslaught began with a goal in the match's 15th minute and remained relentless until the sixth and final goal was scored in the 62nd minute.
"Thomas is a very organized and mature team with several international players," commented Spring Hill coach Adam Pearce. "But we were able to work a lot of guys in today and get them some valuable playing time against a quality opponent."
Goalkeepers William Gafford and Dan Criscione split duties in goal.
The Badgers will host cross-town rival the University of Mobile (3-3-2) on Saturday at 4 p.m. on Library Field.
