The Spring Hill College men's soccer team (4-6-1) suffered its third consecutive shutout with a 3-0 loss at Mississippi College (5-2-1) on Wednesday night.
The Choctaws opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Barry Prather found the back of the net.  Phillip Buffington then scored in the 18th minute to provide MC with a 2-0 lead at the intermission.
Spring Hill goalkeeper, sophomore Dan Criscione of Maplewood, Mo., made six saves versus an onslaught of 15 shots in the first half while his teammates managed just two shots against MC keeper Andrew Dailey, who made one save.
Ryan Berryhill continued the Mississippi College attack with a goal in the 47th minute to open the second period.
Spring Hill's offense was more productive in the second period, taking seven shots and forcing Dailey to make four more saves, but MC also took an additional 10 shots and Criscione collected two more saves.
The Badgers will host 16th ranked Shorter College (6-1) in a non-conference match on Sunday at 3 p.m. on Library Field.
