On Tuesday, the Spring Hill College men's golf team completed the final round at the University of Mobile Rams Fall Invitational at Heron Lakes Country Club with a three-round combined total of 914 to finish third of seven teams.
Individually, senior Dan Thouvenot of St. Louis, Mo., placed second out of 51 golfers with scores of 71, 74 and 73 to finish the 72-par, 6,807-yard course just three strokes (218, +2) behind the tournament winner, Lewis Gruber of Central Alabama Community College (215, -1).
Other Spring Hill competitors were sophomore Javier Portal from Miami, Fla. (9t, 78, 71, 76, 225, +9), junior Will Loweth of Houston, Texas (11t, 76, 73, 77, 226, +10), senior Chris Ladner of Gautier, Miss. (21t, 79, 73, 81, 233, +17), and sophomore Eddie Smith of San Antonio, Texas (24t, 79, 78, 77, 234, +18).
The Badgers have now wrapped up the fall golf schedule and will return to action this spring.
