The Spring Hill College women's tennis team (5-3) defeated the University of Montevallo on Saturday by a score of 8-1 at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center.
Spring Hill swept the doubles matches as Allison Symulevich and Catherine Thames passed Rachel Hartley and Kristi Kelly 8-5 at No. 1. Abbey Angelle and Paige Malone defeated Shasta Brown and Kelley Vaughn 8-1 at No. 2 and Lynne Fritscher and Alex Tovar won at No. 3 over Terry Abdool and Aydrey Carrio 8-1.
The Lady Badgers continued to roll in the singles action sweeping all but the No. 1 match where Hartley defeated Thames 6-0, 6-1.
The Spring Hill women next host No. 23 Xavier University at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center on Thursday at 2 p.m.
