On Monday, the Spring Hill College women's golf team placed 8th in an 11-team field at the Ann Rhoads Shootout hosted by Birmingham-Southern College and held at Timberline Golf Course in Calera, Ala. The Lady Badgers posted a combined 705 (351, 354, +137) over the 71-par course.
In individual scoring, freshman Jenny Lines of Gulf Shores, Ala., paced the Lady Badgers for the fourth consecutive event by shooting a 2-round total of 173 (84, 89, +31) and finishing in 30th place out of 56 golfers. Fellow freshman AnnMarie Coan of St. Louis, Mo., scored +33 (88, 87, 175) for 32nd place and sophomore Jasmine Bowers of Mobile tied for 39th place with a +39 score of 181 (88, 87).
Other Badgers competing were sophomore Victoria Gonzalez of Miami, Fla., who finished 42nd with a score of 182 (88, 93, +40) and sophomore Shea Bowers of Mobile who came in at 43rd position with a +43 score of 185 (98, 87).
The Lady Badgers will next compete at the 2nd Annual Badger Invitational to be held at the Spring Hill College Golf Course on Monday, March 2-3.
