On Tuesday, the Spring Hill College men's golf team struggled to a second place finish at the Second Annual Badger Invitational at the Spring Hill College Golf Course.  Leading by six strokes after Day 1, the Badgers could not hold off a surging Lindenwood team that stormed back to take the title 611 to 620.
 
Lindenwood University shot a second day total of 295 led by Richard Docherty's 73 to finish with a total of 611 (316, 295).  Docherty took home the individual championship with a +6 score of 150.
 
Spring Hill's Dan Thouvenot was the top Badger finisher with a total of 153 (+9, 79, 74) and finished in fourth place.  As a team, the Badgers finished with both rounds at 310 for a 620 total and second place overall.
 
Other Badger scores were Ricky Escobar (76, 79, 155), Will Loweth (81, 76, 157), Javier Portal (80, 81, 161) and Eddie Smith (75, 91, 166).
 
William Carey finished third (323, 317, 640), Faulkner State place fourth (329, 312, 641), the University of Mobile came in fifth (326, 321, 647), Maryville University was sixth (323, 329, 652) and Young Harris College was seventh (341, 328, 669).
