The seeding and brackets for the 2008 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament to be held at Stan Galle Field on the campus of Spring Hill College were announced on Monday morning.
The tournament will open at noon on Wednesday with the No. 6 seed Loyola University-New Orleans taking on No. 1 seed the University of Mobile. At 3:30 p.m. No. 3 William Carey will challenge No. 2 Belhaven. The host institution, No. 5 Spring Hill, will close the first day versus No. 2 LSU-Shreveport at 7 p.m.
The double-elimination event will continue at noon on Thursday and continue through the championship rounds on Saturday.
