Hasley Named GCAC Pitcher of the Week

Spring Hill College pitcher Matt Hasley of Daphne was named the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance in a road victory over conference foe LSU-Shreveport (23-9) on Saturday.  Hasley, a right-handed junior, pitched eight complete innings and allowed just one earned run with four hits, three walks and eight strikeouts in his 6-1 win.

For the year, Hasley (2-3) is averaging one strikeout per inning of work with 36 strikeouts in 36.1 innings pitched.

Spring Hill College (11-24) travels to Thomas University (Ga.) on Tuesday for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
