Spring Hill College (4-6, 2-4 GCAC) right fielder Ryan Hall struck out swinging with the tying run at second base in the top of the ninth inning as the Loyola University Wolfpack (4-7, 4-5 GCAC) slipped past the Badgers 2-1 on Friday evening.

Starting pitcher Andrew Laiche picked up the win for Loyola, going 7.2 innings giving up just four hits with four walks and striking out nine Badgers.  Kevin Fontenot recorded the save in 1.1 innings of work.

For the Badgers, Nick Clapper (2-1) was saddled with his first loss of the season with 5.2 innings pitched, one earned run, two walks and seven strikeouts.  Centerfielder Justin Harrison had two hits and scored the lone Badger run in the eighth off a sacrifice fly by catcher Billy Saliski.

The same two teams will play again Saturday at 1 p.m.
