Senior forward Noah Woolridge scored 11 points to pass 1,300 points in his career on Thursday night versus the University of Mobile, but his final shot of the night unfortunately failed to find the basket as UM won 71-67.  Woolridge’s 3-point attempt with six seconds remaining would have given the Badgers a one-point lead, but instead his shot came off the rim and into the hands of Rams defender Donte Walker, who then converted both free throws for the final score.

The Badgers put four players into double figures in scoring with Jeremy Price scoring 20 points, Marcus Coleman adding 14, Woolridge’s 11 and freshman Nick Brown dropping in 10 points.  Woolridge also pulled down seven of the 30 SHC rebounds.  As a team, Spring Hill shot 39% (20-51) from the field and 50% (13-26) from 3-point land.

Mobile also saw four players reach double figures as Walter Fitzgerald scored 12, Steven Pellan scored 11, and Tim Malone and Walker each scored 10 points.  Pellan also had nine of Mobile’s 32 rebounds. 

The Spring Hill College (17-11, 9-8 GCAC) men host Southern University-New Orleans on Saturday in a game scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.  Before the game, four Spring Hill seniors will be honored for their play over the past four years.
