Price Named GCAC Player of Week

Spring Hill College junior guard Jeremy Price has been named the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week in men's basketball for February 17-24, 2008.  Price scored 45 points on the week including his team’s season-high 34 points in the Badger’s road upset of No. 2 LSU-Shreveport on Saturday.  The Badgers also upset No. 13 Xavier University-New Orleans on Thursday night with Price adding 11 points in that contest.

For the season, Price is averaging 12.1 points per game and shooting 47% from the field (99-209).  The native of Dallas, Texas, has made 28 of his 66 (42%) 3-point attempts on the year.

The Spring Hill College (17-10, 9-7 GCAC) men host the University of Mobile (18-8, 12-3) on Thursday in a game scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
