Woolridge Named Honorable Mention All-America
Spring Hill College senior forward Noah Woolridge was named an Honorable Mention selection to the 2007-’08 NAIA Division I All-America Team as announced by the NAIA offices in Kansas City, Mo., on Wednesday.
Woolridge, a native of Slidell, La., led the Badgers in scoring and rebounding by dropping in 18.2 points per game for a total of 529 points and pulling in 175 rebounds for an average of six boards per contest. He shot 47% (171-365) from the field and 46% (97-213) from 3-point land. Nationally, his 3-point accuracy placed him as the fifth best long-distance shooter based on percentage and sixth in 3-point baskets made per game (3.323) in the NAIA. Woolridge ranked as the second best free throw shooter in the NAIA making 90 of 99 attempts (.909).
For his four-year career, Woolridge ranks 17th on the Spring Hill College all-time scoring list with 1,344 points scored. He collected 425 rebounds, took away 78 steals and handed out 114 assists as a forward. Woolridge shot 47% from the field and an impressive 43% from behind the 3-point line. He holds Spring Hill College records for career 3-point baskets made with 242 and career free throw percentage at .895.
