Forbes Named to All-GCAC Team
Spring Hill College forward Keisha Forbes of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., has been named to the 2007-’08 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball All Conference Team as announced by the GCAC on Tuesday morning.
Forbes, a junior, leads the Lady Badgers in shooting percentage at 49% (170-345) and in rebounding with seven boards per game. She averages 14.2 points per game for a total of 398 total points and shoots 58% from the free throw line. For the year, Forbes has taken away 20 steals, blocked four shots, and handed out 55 assists.
Spring Hill Head Coach Craig Madzinski commented, “Keisha has earned this honor. She’s worked hard every day and shown improvement with every game. On a team without much experience, she showed the progression throughout the year that we needed individually and as a team.”
The Lady Badgers (7-21, 6-12 GCAC) will play SUNO (6-20, 2-16) in the first round of the GCAC Tournament at home on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
