The Spring Hill College cross country women made improvements in their times on their first event of the season by finishing with an overall team time of 1:52:51.60 at the Azalea City Classic hosted by the University of South Alabama.  Last week at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss., the Badger women had an average finish time of 24:22.34 over the 5,000-meter course while this week they finished at an average of 22:34.32 (37 points) over the same distance.

Freshman Blakely Duhé of Mobile led the Lady Badgers with a time of 22:53.64.  Spring Hill will travel to Pensacola, Fla., next week to compete in the Gulf Coast Stampede hosted by the University of West Florida.
