Assistant Coach- 1st Season

A native of Mobile, Teasley returns to the Port City from Tuscaloosa with his wife Amanda Beams Teasley to whom he has been married since 2007. Teasley begins his first season at SHC with 17 years of experience in basketball in various coaching positions throughout the state of Alabama.

Most recently the Athletic Director and Head Coach of North River Christian Academy boys basketball in Tuscaloosa, Teasley has seven years of experience as a head coach at the high school level. He won three ACEAA (Alabama Christian Education Athletic Association) State Championships with two coming at North River Christian and one at Open Door Christian in Tuscaloosa. All three championships teams enjoyed undefeated seasons. His current high school coaching record stands at 151 wins and 18 loses (.893).

Teasley graduated with a B.S. in Sports and Health Sciences with a concentration in Coaching from American Public University.

Assistant Coach- 1st Season

Born in Mobile, Brian Murphy grew up in Pelham and graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham in 2005. He played at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn., as a freshman and transferred to Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa as sophomore. Brian graduated with B.B.A. in Management in 2010 from the University of West Alabama in Livingston.

His parents, Francis and Nancy Murphy, both played basketball and graduated from Spring Hill College. Nancy played on first SHC women's basket team in 1977-78. Brian's grandfather, basketball coach Joseph Glen Murphy (Class of '53), was inducted into SHC Athletics Hall of Fame in 1995 and played baseball and basketball at SHC. He has two sisters - Anna Murphy Bevins, who lives in Baton Rouge, La., and Caty Murphy, who attends Auburn University.

Assistant Coach- 7th Season
Reggie Copeland, Jr. returns for his 7th season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Badgers and also takes the reins as head coach of the Badgers' newly formed men's club team.

Student Assistant- 3rd Season
John Redman returns to the Badgers for his third season as a Student Assistant Coach after moving from the court to the bench following the 2009-10 season. He is also the older brother of freshman Badger Basketball player Ben Redman.

2009-10: Sat out season as a redshirt ... ran for Coach Joe Williams' SHC Men's Cross Country team ... ran at NAIA Men's National Cross Country Meet in Washington.

High School: Prepped at Spanish Fort High School in Spanish Fort, Ala.

Personal: Born in Las Vegas, Nevada ... favorite musician is Dave Matthews ... enjoys running and spending time with his family ... plans a career in coaching, hopefully at the professional level ... son of Mobile Sport Hall of Fame Member Susie Redman.

Manager- 2nd Season

Kevin begins his second season as the Director of Men's Basketball Operations. During his freshman year, he also served as the PA announcer for Badger Soccer and Baseball.

High School: Served as manager of St. Ignatius High School Basketball for 2 years ... member of the 2008 Ohio High School Athletic Association Division 1 State Championship team.

Personal: Majoring in Communications/Business ... born in Cleveland, Ohio ... favorite sport is golf ... planning a career in public relations and politics, but dreams of being a congressman ... if he could spend a day with any person living or dead it would be Packy Hyland, Sr. ... draws inspiration from quotes ... nicknamed "Smitty" and "The Mayor" ... son of Mary Pat and Tim Smith.
