Kristin Hoskinson begins her second year as the SHC Senior Woman Adminstrator and head coach of cheerleading & dance in 2013. She came to Spring Hill from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where she served as head coach of cheerleading and mascot from 2010-2012. In addition to her duties with the cheer and dance teams, Hoskinson also serves as the Senior Woman Administrator for SHC Athletics.
With 11 years of competitive cheerleading and teaching experience at all levels and 17 years of competitive dance experience, Hoskinson directs the Badgers' sideline and competitive cheerleading programs along with the school's dance team and mascot.
A native of Newark, Ohio, Hoskinson received her Bachelor of Specialized Studies in Marketing-Communications from Ohio in 2006. As an undergraduate, she was a four-year member of the Ohio cheerleading team and team captain during the 2005-06 season. She remained in Athens for the 2006-07 season as the assistant cheerleading coach and was a vital part of the Bobcat squad that placed in the top 20 at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) College Nationals in Orlando, Fla.
Hoskinson worked for two years at the Memphis, Tenn., headquarters of UCA where she was Northeast Regional Sales Manager. In 2007, she changed roles to Northeast Assistant Regional Manager and Assistant to the Vice President of Staff Development. Hoskinson also helped with Curriculum for UCA and served as a judge for entry tapes of UCA College National Championships.
While coaching at Ohio, Hoskinson also worked full-time as Customer Development Director for the Southeast Region for Varsity Brands, Inc., the leading cheerleading and dance company in the world. She is an active member of the UCA Rules Committee and is a Rules Judge for UCA College, High School and All-Star Cheerleading Championships as well as the Cheerleading All-Star Worlds and International Cheer Union World Championships in Orlando.
Hoskinson is a national coach certifier, speaker and representative at NCAA tournaments for the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators (AACCA) and recently received her certification as a United States All Star Federation (USASF) Rules Judge.
Carrie Clayton is a native of Mobile, Ala., and has been dancing for over 20 years. She received her dance training at Mobile Ballet and Sheffield’s School of the Dance. She also participated in a summer intensive at Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Carrie graduated from the University of South Alabama (USA) with a degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. During her time at USA, she was a member of Prowlers Dance Team from 2006-10, serving as captain from 2008-10. The Prowlers ranked in the top ten at the Universal Dance Association’s (UDA) National competition all four years Carrie was a member. Carrie has choreographed routines at a national level for various teams such as the Fort Walton Beach High School Stars in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and the McIntosh High School Chiefettes in Peachtree City, Ga. Carrie has been on UDA staff for five years and traveled all over the United States teaching dance camps, judging events and directing various parts of UDA competitions. She was also a member of the college camp circuit for UDA. Carrie is currently in her fourth year as the assistant dance team coach for the USA Prowlers Dance Team.
