Head Coach
Entering his sixth season as the head coach for Spring Hill College, Robert Thompson has guided the Badgers to an overall record of 82-75.  Thompson led the Badgers to the "Sweet Sixteen" of the NAIA National Tournament in 2005-'06 and finished the season with a 22-9 overall record, 11-3 in the GCAC.  Following the season, he was named the GCAC Coach of the Year.
 
A native of Tupelo, Miss., Thompson came to Spring Hill following a four-year stint as head coach at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Ark., where he attained a 43-62 overall record.  He took over at Arkansas Tech in 1999 and led the Wonder Boys to their first Gulf South Conference (GSC) Tournament appearance and a No. 8 ranking in the South Region of NCAA Division II during the 1999-2000 season.  Following his first season at Arkansas Tech, Thompson was named GSC Coach of the Year.
 
Prior to his success at Arkansas Tech, Thompson served as Delta State University's assistant men's coach from 1996 to 1999 and helped lead the Statesmen to the GSC West Division title  in 1996-'97 and 1997-'98, GSC Tournament Championships in 1996-'97 and 1997'98, the NCAA Divsion II South Regional Championship in 1997-'98 and the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in 1997-'98.
 
Thompson earned his B.S. in Physical Education from Belhaven College in 1993 where he was a 4-year basketball letterman.  He received his M.S. in Education from Jackson State University in 1997.  He and his wife, Alfreda, have two sons, Joshua Cordell (10) and Justin Lydell (5).

Christine, a sophomore from Charlotte, N.C., is in her second season as a Badgers' team manager.
 
She is majoring in Nursing and graduated from Charlotte Catholic High School where she was an Honors studnet and won her class Leadership Award.   Her favorite food is pie and she enjoys rugby and Kenny Chesney.  Christine's favorite movie is Behind Enemy Lines and her favorite TV show is M*A*S*H.  She plans a career in nursing.  Nicknamed "Stine," she is the daughter of Judith Radovanie.

Nathan begins his first season at Spring Hill after spending the 2008 season as an assistant coach at Marion Military Academy.  He graduated with a B.S. in Sport Management from Delta State University in 2007 and completed his internship in Game Management at the University of Mississippi.  While at DSU, Nathan was a manager for the men's basketball team.
 
A native of Lambert, Miss., and a graduate of Delta Academy, Nathan is currently single and lives in Mobile.

Carlos, a sophomore majoring in Business Finance/Economics is in his second year of gathering the statistics for the Badgers men's and women's basketball programs.  Hailing from Scottsboro, Ala., Carlos was born in Emmen, The Netherlands, and graduated from Scottsboro High School. 
 
Personal: Minors in Math ... favorite food is steak ... favorite movie is Freedom Writers and favorite musical group is The Tempations ... runs triathalons ... favorite athlete is Lance Armstrong and favorite TV show is House ... dreams of one day being the US Ambassador to The Netherlands.

Derrick Tinsley begins his first season as a volunteer coach with the Badgers.  He earned his Bachelor of Sport Science degree from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala., in 2008 and has recently begun work toward his Masters degree at the US Sports Academy.
 
Tinsley comes to SHC following a five-year coaching stint at Bishop State Community College.  At "The Hill," he will assist Coach Thompson with recruiting, academic development and strength & conditioning.  On the court, he will concentrate on working with the Badgers' defense.

Seirra, a native of Seattle, Wash., begins her first season as a team manager for the Badgers.
 
A freshman from Baker High School in Mobile, her favorite movie is Remember the Titans and her favorite TV show is Cold Case.  She dreams of one day owning a sports team and her athlete is Florence Joyner.  She enjoys football, art, antique and muscle cars, history and spending time with her mother.  She plans a career in Athletic Facility Management.  She was born the daughter of Wanda J. Collins-Hampton in Nurenburg, Germany.

This season, Hays moves from the court to the bench following a successful 4-year playing career for the Badgers.  During his tenure with the Badgers, Zieman played in 100 games, scored 146 points, pulled in 178 rebounds, took away 61 steals and dished out 244 assists.
