[Cheerleading] Cheerleading, Dance to hold tryouts

Spring Hill College cheerleading and dance coach Kristin Hoskinson will hold tryouts for the 2013-2014 SHC cheer and dance teams as well as the Badger mascot on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.

Spring Hill College Director of Athletics Jim Hall has announced the hiring of Kristin Hoskinson as the head coach of cheerleading and dance to guide the Badgers in their first season of competition as a varsity sport. Hoskinson comes to Spring Hill from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where she has served as head coach of cheerleading and mascot since 2010.

Spring Hill College Director of Athletics Jim Hall has announced that the school's rapidly growing athletics program will add co-educational competitive cheerleading as its 16th varsity sport beginning in fall of 2013. In conjunction with the addition of competitive cheer, sideline cheerleading and dance will be elevated from their current club sport statuses to scholarship programs.
