Badgers Battle to Scoreless Tie
Game at a glance
Sep 25, 2007 05:00 PM
Versus: Brewton-Parker College
T 0-0 (2OT)
It took two overtimes and 110 minutes to decide the outcome of the men’s soccer match between Spring Hill College and Brewton-Parker College on Tuesday night. The final decision was a 0-0 tie as both teams failed to score despite 12 shots by the Barons from Georgia and 17 shots from the Badgers of Spring Hill.
Badger goalkeeper freshman Cory Bronenkamp of St. Louis, Mo., recorded six saves on the evening while his counterpart Nick Rodriguez made eight successful stops.
In the overtimes both teams became more physical in their play, resulting in five yellow cards for the Baron (2-6-2) and a single yellow card for the Badgers (2-4-2)
Spring Hill now travels to Jackson, Miss., on Saturday to face Belhaven College in their first conference match of the season.
