Versus: Warner Southern College
W 2-0

Following a disappointing 2-1 loss at Thomas University on Saturday, the Spring Hill College Lady Badgers soccer team bounced back on Sunday morning to defeat Warner Southern College (Fla.) 2-0 in the Thomas University Invitational.  Senior team captain Jennifer Huber of St. Louis, Mo., scored the first Badger goal at the 17-minute mark of the match.  The second goal came just 10 minutes later as Huber and junior Maureen Sargent of Town & Country, Mo., teamed up on a beautiful break through attack that gave sophomore forward Kasey Pruett of Flower Mound, Tex., her team leading sixth goal of the season.

Spring Hill Head Coach Adam Pearce said following the match, “I was very proud of our athletes today.  They were very organized and had a concentrated team effort.  It’s tough to play one day and turn around the next day and play again, especially following a tough loss.  Our players showed me that they have good ‘soccer I.Q.’ and know how to utilize their energy.”

Spring Hill’s women (3-3-0) open conference play on Wednesday at the University of Mobile at 7 p.m.
