Atlanta's Palmer Inks with Lady Badgers

Head Coach Adam Pearce and the Spring Hill College Athletics Department announced the signing of Catie Palmer of Atlanta, Ga., to the Lady Badgers soccer team last week.  A forward from Our Lady of Mercy High School, Palmer scored a school-record 31 goals in her senior season.

"I am very excited to have Catie joining the program here at Spring Hill,” commented Pearce.  “She has an infectiously friendly personality, but when she gets on the field she has the killer instinct and attitude of a true goal scorer.  I have very high hopes for Catie and expect that she is going to have a very good college soccer career."

In 2008, Palmer led her prep team to its first ever appearance in the Georgia Regional Tournament where they finished runner-up with a 12-4 record.  She once scored her career-high six goals in a single match and has recorded six career hat tricks.  Palmer was selected her team’s Most Valuable Player two consecutive years in 2006 and 2007.
