The Spring Hill College women’s soccer team lost to Christian Brothers University 4-0 in their home opener in the “NAIA and NCAA Division II Tournament” on Friday afternoon. The Lady Badgers (0-1) played valiantly on defense for most of the first half holding on to a 0-0 tie with less than five minutes before the intermission, but CBU (2-0) broke into the scoring column just before the break. In the second half, the Buccaneers offense was simply too effective for the Spring Hill defense and Christian Brothers piled on another three goals in the final frame. The Spring Hill women continue play at home on Sunday, September 2 at 3:30 p.m. as they host North Alabama in the final match of the tournament. At 1 p.m., Christian Brothers will play Eckerd College in the first game.
