The Spring Hill College softball team lost a second consecutive game by the score of 5-0 on Saturday afternoon this time at the hands of the Faulkner University Lady Eagles.  Also for the second consecutive game, the Lady Badgers collected just two hits off the opponent’s battery.

Starting SHC pitcher Samantha Brooks (1-1) took her first loss of the year while pitching 3.2 innings and giving up four hits, two earned runs, a walk and two strikeouts.

Freshman catcher Brooke Turlich and junior third baseman Kristen Knipe accounted for Spring Hill’s two hits. 

The Lady Badgers (2-2) travel to Jackson, Miss, on Saturday, March 1, to open GCAC play with a doubleheader at Belhaven College beginning at 1 p.m.
