The Spring Hill College softball team swept a doubleheader from Oklahoma Baptist 3-2 and 5-1 on Monday evening in games held on the University of Mobile campus.

The Lady Badgers (13-10) scored the winning run of the first game in the bottom of the seventh when right fielder Lauren Herrera drove in catcher Brooke Turlich from third with a single.  Sophomore Brittany Abate (4-2) picked up the complete game win giving up just four hits and one earned run with two strikeouts.

In the second game, Samantha Brooks (8-4) pitched Spring Hill to a 5-1 win allowing seven hits with a strikeout and an unearned run.  Herrera continued to roll along at the plate collecting two hits including a double.  Third baseman Jessica Scallan also had two hits with a double.

The Lady Badgers now travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., for a conference doubleheader with William Carey beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
