LEWISTON, Idaho -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced on Thursday afternoon that Spring Hill College pitcher William Tillman has been named a 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete in baseball.

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Three freshmen members of the 2011 Spring Hill College baseball team were named to the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) All Freshman team as chosen by the head coaches of the 14 member teams on Thursday.

The Spring Hill College baseball team wrapped up the 2011 schedule by dropping a 5-4 decision in the opener of a nonconference doubleheader with Selma University, but then rebounded to take the nightcap 6-5 at historic Stan Galle Field on Monday afternoon.

The Spring Hill College baseball team closed out its 2011 conference slate by finishing off a 3-game season sweep of rival Loyola University (La.) in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon by the scores of 4-3 and 11-1 at historic Stan Galle Field.
