



CLINTON, Miss. – The Spring Hill College men's and women's outdoor Track & Field teams performed extraordinarily well in their debut showing at the Mississippi College Twilight Invitational on Friday evening at James E. Parkman Track in Robinson-Hale Stadium. The men finished 12th out of 16 participating teams over and 3rd of six NAIA programs with 18 total points. The women were 14th out of 14 overall teams with eight total points.
After a year of anticipation, the Spring Hill College Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field teams will open their historic first season at the 2013 Mississippi College Twilight Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Spring Hill College men's & women's outdoor Track & Field head coach Craig McVey will hold an interest meeting on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at 7 p.m. in LeBlanc Room C in the Student Center for all SHC students interested in participating on the Badger teams that will open their first seasons this spring semester. Students with and without high school experience are welcome to attend.
Spring Hill College Athletic Director Jim Hall has announced the hiring of Craig McVey as the head coach of the Badger men's and women's outdoor track & field programs that will open their premier seasons in the spring of 2013. McVey comes to Spring Hill after enjoying 15 years as the associate head track & field coach at the University of Albany where he was part of 28 America East Conference (AEC) championships and three Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America (IC4A) titles.
