Men's Tennis Improves versus Faulkner State

Versus: Faulkner State Community College

The Spring Hill College men’s and women’s tennis teams both closed out their fall seasons with victories over Faulkner State Community College on Thursday afternoon at the Mobile Tennis Center. The Lady Badgers swept their contests 9-0 while the men won 7-2, showing improvement over a previous match on October 11 when they squeezed out a 5-4 win.
On the men’s side, two third set tiebreakers by No. 3 Michael Logan and by No. 6 Jimmy Chassaing secured the win. The Spring Hill College No. 2 men’s doubles scored an impressive 8-1 victory as the No. 1 men’s doubles held on for an exciting 8-6 win.

Connor Rives (FSCC) def. Brendan Gallagher (SHC); 6-1, 6-2
Evan Davis (SHC) def. Michael Little (FSCC); 6-1, 6-1
Michael Logan (SHC) def. Wesley Lamborne; 6-1, 3-6, 1-0 (11-9)
Chris Link (SHC) def. Anthony Penick (FSCC); 7-5, 6-4
Will Seevers (SHC) def. Kouri Allen (FSCC); 6-3, 6-0
Jimmy Chassaing (SHC) def. Madison Bond (FCSS); 6-1, 3-6, 1-0 (11-9)
Men’s Doubles:
Davis/Gallagher (SHC) def. Little/Rives (FSCC); 8-6
Link/Logan (SHC) def. Allen/Lamborne (FSCC); 8-1
Bond/Penick (FSCC) def. Chassaing/Seevers (SHC); 1-0 (default - disciplinary action)
