Lady Badgers Add Shultis

Coach Beth Ring and the Spring Hill College Lady Badgers volleyball team received their second commitment of the 2008 recruiting period with the signing of Holly Shultis of Waukesha, Wis., on Thursday.  Shultis is a 6’0” middle blocker who played three years of varsity volleyball for Waukesha North High School.

“Holly is a strong middle blocker who attacks with power,” commented Ring.  “She provides a solid block and demonstrates good court awareness as a hitter and blocker.  We believe that she can make a big impact on the Badger program.”

In 2005, Shultis played at the Junior Olympic Nationals in Utah.  She has played on club teams since her freshman year and led her past three clubs in kills and block kills.  As a senior, Shultis led Waukesha North in blocks and kills garnering the team’s 2007 MVP award.

Shultis is currently a member of the club team Rising Force and a teammate of Sarah Stacey who signed with the Lady Badgers earlier this week.
