Stacey Signs with Lady Badgers
Coach Beth Ring and the Spring Hill College Lady Badgers volleyball team secured the first commitment of the 2008 signing class on Monday. Outside hitter Sarah Stacey of Milwaukee, Wis., joins the Lady Badgers following a successful prep career at Eisenhower High School.
Coach Ring commented, “We are very excited to have Sarah as our first recruiting commitment to the Lady Badger program. She is a very powerful player with good court awareness and excellent defensive instincts. She has continued to excel as a player competing against the top competition in Wisconsin. We feel she has a promising future as a Lady Badger.”
A three-year varsity starter, Stacey was a three-time All Conference performer, served as team captain, and won the “Lion’s Pride” Award from Eisenhower High School for her outstanding athletic leadership and achievement. She has also been tabbed a Milwaukee Journal Player of Week and a Nike Camp “Best Attacker.”
This spring she is playing her sixth year of club volleyball and is currently competing for Chris and Emily Polowy’s Rising Force squad.
