L 0-3
The University of West Alabama (26-4) volleyball team took a 3-0 decision over the Spring Hill College Lady Badgers on Thursday evening at the Spring Hill campus. UWA took the match by the scores of 30-28, 30-18, 30-22.

The Tigers and the Badgers battled for each point in the first game with neither team gaining more than a three-point advantage at any stage of the game. The game featured ten ties and six lead changes with Spring Hill holding a slim 28-27 lead before the Tigers ripped off three game-winning scores.

The loss of the first game seemed to haunt the Lady Badgers in game two, especially when UWA put together a seven-point run that expanded their lead to a commanding 27-14 score.
The final game started with both teams trading side-outs for the first six points, but the Tigers used another seven-point run to build a 12-6 advantage. The Lady Badgers never fully recovered as West Alabama successfully closed out the match.
Spring Hill (16-15) next plays at the GCAC Tournament in New Orleans, La., on Friday, November 9, against an opponent yet to be determined.
