HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College volleyball team fell to (RV) Nova Southeastern, 3-1 (25-14, 24-26, 23-25, 12-25) and Trevecca Nazarene, 3-0 (20-25, 25-27, 19-25) during the first day of the UAH Invitational.
 
The Badgers (2-4) started with a win in the first set against Nova Southeastern (3-0). Spring Hill held the Sharks to a -.037 hitting percentage while hitting at a .387 clip in the opening frame.
 
NSU went on to capture the next three sets. 
Jaylyne Bell led the match with 18 kills, while 
Monica Vargo led the team with 38 assists.
 
On defense, 
Ashlyn Whiteside led the contest with 17 digs and Bell led the team with three blocks alongside 
Hayley Hillman.
 
SHC was swept in straight sets by the Trojans (3-2). Vargo led the game with three service aces and the team with 26 assists.
 
Claire Hayes led the Badgers with 12 kills while also totaling a team-leading two blocks alongside Bell and 
Hayley Hillman.
